This trapeze rig is like a huge goal post from which to hang the trapezes and ropes from.This rig is unique in the fact that it has a floating top bar which is itself guyed out for stability.  In this way, any manner of uneven ground can be compensated for and the top bar can be set at any height (good for workshops).

It is constructed out of Quatralite, a very light but strong alloy construction made by Lite Structures Ltd., Wakefield. It is assembled on the ground from 5m sections and winched up in to place with two foot-plates holding the feet in place.

Six steel cables, attached to the top of the rig, are used to guy out, terminating (normally) with ground stakes.

STAKES used are 0.7m long and back-up stakes are 0.5m long. Our method of staking is designed to ensure that both the stakes and the back-up stakes cause minimal damage to the performance area. If it is not possible to use steel stakes, however small, there may be another way of terminating the guy wires.

FOOTPLATES measure 0.5m2 and are each held in position by 2 steel pins 0.5m long.

A FLAT AREA measuring 15m x 20m will be required. Smaller areas are possible, please discuss this with us.

ACCESS to the site for vehicle /van is required 3 hours in advance of the performance for setting-up.
